South Platte Renew is the 3rd largest water renewal facility in Colorado and cleans nearly 20 million gallons of wastewater daily from 300,000 residents in Littleton, Englewood, and 19 other connecting communities. The facility is publicly owned and operated by the Cities of Littleton and Englewood.

Governance
The Supervisory Committee oversees all operations of SPR and related matters. The Committee generally meets once per month, usually the fourth Thursday of each month. The Committee consists of two administrative employees from each City.

The sewage collection system and treatment facilities for the cities of Englewood and Littleton developed separately, but in a similar manner. The collection system follows the natural drainage pattern in the area that leads to the South Platte River.
