The RMWEA Safety committee recognizes accident prevention programs in the water and wastewater industries that have developed implemented risk assessment programs, documented policies and procedures, thorough accident reviews, training, continuous improvement and explicit commitment to safety at all levels of the organization.
The plant received the RMWEA Annual Award of Merit in recognition of an excellent 2013 safety record in the wastewater industry on September 4, 2014.
This is the third consecutive year the plant has received this award. The plant also received an award in 1998, 2003, 2004, and 2008.
